The following Change of Campus Agreements were adopted by the OSU Academic Advising Council on April 12, 2023. These were considered and adopted to provide some oversight and consistency to our Change of Campus processes
This process is defined for students who...
1. Are matriculated (have taken classes a degree seeking student at an OSU campus)
2. Went through an orientation to Oregon State University (systems, tools, policies, procedures)
3. Went through an orientation to the culture and climate of their current campus (Corvallis or Cascades or Ecampus)
4. Have engaged with an advisor for their current academic program at their current campus
1. Will include exposure to orientation content about the culture and climate of their new campus.
2. Will include an advising conversation that leads to program planning and subsequent term registration.
3. Will include a Change of Campus submission through the Banner Workflow
4. Will include transparency and notification for constituents with a need to know
1. Students
2. New advisor (could possibly be their current advisor if they are switching from Corvallis to Ecampus or visa versa)
3. Student services personnel with oversight over new student transition (Office of Student Orientation/Ecampus Student Services/Cascades Advising)
4. The Office of the Registrar (processes Change of Campus workflow submissions)
1. Clarity for the student
2. Subsequent term registration is not delayed for the student
3. Align Change of Campus with Change of Major for matriculated students
4. Assurance that student gets orientation content relative to the culture and climate of their new campus.
We know students will sometimes toggle between campuses. These Change of Campus processes are intended for matriculated students experiencing their first change of campus. Subsequent changes will release the student from the expectation of campus and climate orientation to the new campus if they have already had that.
